Online Marketing Case Study: Composite Moulding Company

Overview:

Our client is a specialist manufacturer of Glass Reinforced Plastic parts based on the South Coast of the UK. They are growing well and now employ around 200 staff across two sites in Poole. They lead the market in large marine parts and bespoke complex components in GRP and Carbon Fibre.

Objectives:

The client’s objective was reduce their dependence on one major yacht builder, who generated over 90% of their income. This was to be achieved by finding other sources of income in the United Kingdom within three years. This means that the client was seeking completely new sources of revenue amounting to a total of three million pounds per year by promoting new products within unknown market sectors.

Solution:

We worked closed together with our client to produce six different Google campaigns targeting different keyword phrases. Each Google Ad had its own landing page developed to be as specific, optimized and SEO friendly as possible. Each landing page had its own domain name associated to it but was still clearly linked to the company’s main website.

Results:

For a number of years we worked together with our client to achieve excellent results from Search Engine Optimisation, where they have received between 5 - 50 genuine sales leads per quarter from their online presence. The costs involved in the digital marketing campaigns have varied from £500 - £2000 per quarter, and has consistently delivered a good return. The success achieved using our digital marketing strategies has far outweighed the lack of success from advertising in the online directories such as Kompass, Thompson and even Yell. At the end of June 2009 we redeveloped our client’s online marketing strategy and unveiled their new Converged Approach. In the month of July 2009, they received over 60 inbound telephone calls on their new sales number, and over 50 emails of which 27 represented potential sales leads.
